Traveling in Mountains and Rivers

Huang Binhong (1865-1955), was first named Maozhi, then changed his name to Zhi, also known by his zi (designated name) Piaocun and hao (literary name) Binhong, was born in Jinhua, Zhejiang province. The artist was especially good at drawing landscape, therefore people often call him “master of landscape painting”. He derived his style from the close study of Chinese tradition and of nature, which is rich and diverse. His style contains the significant national cultural spirits and the aesthetic of nature.
