From 1900 to 2000, it was a century of rapid changes in Chinese society, and also a century of tortuous development of Chinese art. From the five-port commerce after the Opium War in 1840 to the Xinhai Revolution in 1911, there was a violent collision between Eastern and Western civilizations. The next 100 years became the most rapid and profound period in Chinese history. This period was full of political, economic and social changes and those changes have an important connection with the development of literature and art. This 100-year art history is a history of change under the guidance of "thought" and "ism". On the occasion of the opening of the Long Museum (Chongqing), the famous art critic Lu Peng was invited to share with you the development of Chinese art over the past 100 years.
